Dana Borteanu

Actress

Dana Borteanu was born in Reșița and graduated in Performing Arts - Acting in German from the Faculty of Music and Theatre of the West University of Timișoara in 1997. She has acted in numerous productions of the German State Theatre in Timișoara since 1992.


At GSTT she plays, among others, in the productions The Snow Queen by Yevgeny Schwarz as the robber chieftain; The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling as King Louie, the king of the monkeys; Lysistrata 3.0 by Aristophanes as Sappho; The Theatre by Pascal Rambert as Vanessa Ungermann; Nadirs by Herta Müller as the neighbor.


She has collaborated with directors Yuri Kordonsky, Zeno Stanek, Clemens Bechtel, Bernhard Eusterschulte, Niky Wolcz, Răzvan Mazilu, Alexandru Dabija, Gabor Tompa, Cătălina Buzoianu, Mihai Măniuțiu, Bogdan Ulmu, Victor Ioan Frunză, Alexander Hausvater, Silviu Purcărete, Pascal Rambert.


Dana Borteanu has acted in several films, but her great passion is music. Since Reșița she has been a member of the rock band Ramses. In Timișoara, other bands and projects followed and she is still involved in: Ultimatum, Arca, Stepan Project, Reșița Rocks, Pro Musica, Blackjack, Rockul Carantinei and Scar.
