Daniela Török

Actress

Daniela Török was born in 1978 in Timisoara, where she graduated in 2000 from acting studies at the German Department of the Faculty of Music and Drama of Timisoara West University. 


More recently, she has acted and is acting in the performances of The Snow Queen by Yevgeny Schwarz (as the Snow Queen; Leonce and Lena by Georg Büchner as Rosetta; Humans. For Sale by Carmen Lidia Vidu; A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare as Hippolyta; Lysistrata 3.0 by Aristophanes as Lampito; The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling as Baghera; The Theatre by Pascal Rambert as Danya; Katzelmacher. If it wouldn't be about love by Rainer Werner Fassbinder as Elisabeth. 


She has acted in productions by Radu Alexandru Nica, Silviu Purcărete, Răzvan Mazilu, Alexandru Dabija, Andrea Gavriliu, Eugen Jebeleanu, Cristi Juncu, Carmen Lidia Vidu, László Béres, Niky Wolcz, Kristóf Szabó.


In 2014, she was nominated for the Best Leading Actress Award by the Romanian Theatre Association UNITER for the role of Sally Bowles in the production Cabaret (director: Răzvan Mazilu). She was also awarded the "Excellence Award of the City of Timisoara" and the "Pro-Cultura-Timisiensis Award" for her services to the cultural life of Timișoara.


Daniela participated in numerous theatre workshops, including the "Body in Motion" workshop in Berlin in 2003, the GSTT Summer School in Gărâna in 2009 and 2010 (directed by Nicky Wolcz and Thomas Buts), and the Stage Movement Workshop in 2016.
