Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

by Edward Albee

directed by Michael Bleiziffer

Late at night, after a party, Martha and her husband George arrive home. For the end of the evening Martha invited to their place young professor Nick and his wife. In this context, Martha and George begin a cruel and odious game, capable of revealing unsuspected sides in the personality of each person present. Whether they want it or not, they are now all compelled to face repressed and culpable emotions from their own past.

Press excerpts

"(…) the mirrors around them become indications of unexpected introspection. This is the challenging, straightforward stake of the theatrical frame imposed by George Petre. The characters end up as prisoners of their own mirrors, and subsequently become captive of their inner selves."
