Photoprints from the life of 6 actors, a play of revelations and concealment, concerning origins, fear and patience, the Romanian language and the Hungarian minority, rent, pursuit, escapism and confrontation; the grueling job of being an actor, spectators, dreams, wandering, love; expectations, failure, disappointment, shock, confusion, children, helplessness, rage; loss, wining, and the 7 conspirators which terrified the eastern theater; happiness, intensity, passion, hypocrisy, arrogance, tattoos; the first opening night, and the death which defeats theater; the favorite spot in the house, and the art of abiding. Romanian Diary is an area of dialog, which Carmen Lidia Vidu has built for the sole purpose of revealing her own generation and, through it, the untelevised and common Romania.
