The German State Theater Timișoara (TGST) will start the 2024/2025 season with a participation at the "Cătălina Buzoianu" Stage Direction Festival - Woman power in theater!, which takes place in Iasi. GSTT will play on September 10, 2024, starting at 22.30, TSCHICK. Why We Took the Car - a stage adaptation by Robert Koall after the novel by Wolfgang Herrndorf - directed by Irisz Kovacs. The set and costumes are by Clara Stefana, the dramaturgy is by Rudolf Herbet and the music is composed by Adrian Piciorea.
Then it's back to our theater (2 Alba Iulia St.), where we will play Cloud Tectonics by José Rivera, directed by László Bocsárdi (September 19, 7.30 pm) - a charming and haunting magic-realist story about love lost and found; The Son by Florian Zeller, directed by Mădălin Hîncu (September 20, 7 pm. 30) - a harrowing drama about adolescence, trauma and the limits of family relationships; The Incredible and Sad Tale of Innocent Eréndira and Her Heartless Grandmother, directed by Yuri Kordonsky (September 22, 7 pm. 30) - a production with three nominations and two awards at the Uniter Gala 2018 for direction, sets (Helmut Stürmer), costumes and live sand drawings (Ioana Popescu); Carlo Goldoni's Servant of Two Masters, directed by Niky Wolcz (September 25, 7.30 pm) - one of the most famous comedies in the history of theater, about the triumph of love, humor and joie de vivre.
Moreover, on September 28 and 29, the German Theatre will travel to Bad Ischl, Austria, for a public reading of Thomas Perle's The Waves of the Danube (Donauwellen). The event will take place at the Lehár Theater as part of the project "Homeworld, in search of lost times and new hopes", a collaboration with the European Capital of Culture 2024 Bad Ischl-Salzkammergut. Actresses Daniela Török and Oana Vidoni will participate on behalf of GSTT.
