University in Munich. He attended courses at the Academy of Fine Arts in
Munich, with Prof. Ben Willikens. In 1999, along with Johanna Niedermüller he founded

In Sophocles’ tragedy, Antigone opposes her uncle’s
will, Creon, ruler of Thebes. He decrees that the body of the fallen invading enemy
Polynices, Antigone’ brother, not be buried according to tradition and with
honour, but to remain unburied, food for the birds, to set an example and as
punishment. This motive of ancient literature is taken by Bertolt Brecht in
1948, in Switzerland, short after his return from the United States, after the
translation by Friedrich Hölderlin. Brecht’s intention
was to demonstrate the validity of his theatrical theory and its understanding
of history, based on the wirting. For Brecht, Antigone represents the only one
of the ancient tragedies that“was not completely suffocated by the inexplicable fatality of a mystical
destiny”.
